Congratulations to MWA's Asma Nadia: AssalamuAlaikum Bejing! In Theaters Now!

AssalamuAlaikum Bejing, based on the novel written by MWA's Asma Nadia is now a major motion picture that premiered in Malaysia theaters December 30, 2014. Congratulations Asma!! We couldn't be more proud of you!

The day before the wedding took place, Asma (Revalina S. Temat) get a harsh reality that her lover, played by Ibn Jamil, apparently had an affair with her work colleague Anita (Cynthia Ramlan).

ORIGINAL MAYLAY: Sehari sebelum pernikahan dilangsungkan, Asmara (Revalina S. Temat) mendapatkan kenyataan pahit bahwa kekasihnya, Dewa (Ibnu Jamil) ternyata sempat berselingkuh dengan teman sekantornya Anita (Cynthia Ramlan). 

Walau Dewa memohon agar pernikahan tetap dilanjutkan, Asma terlanjur patah hati. Terlebih, hubungan sekali yang dilakukan ternyata membuahkan janin, Anita hamil. 

Dengan membawa kesedihan, Asma pun menerima tawaran pekerjaan di Beijing, peluang yang didapatkan lewat bantuan Sekar (Laudya Cynthia Bella) dan Ridwan (Deddy Mahendra Desta), suaminya.

Di Beijing dalam salah satu perjalanan, Asma bertemu Zhongwen (Morgan Oey), lelaki tampan yang memperkenalkannya akan legenda cinta Ashima, putri cantik dari Yunan.

Kebaikan dan perhatian Zhongwen, membuat Asma perlahan membuka hati. Walaupun sempat gamang ketika Dewa menyusulnya ke Beijing. Sayang, sebelum hubungan berlanjut, Asma terkena APS, sebuah sindrom yang membuat nyawanya terancam dan bisa menemui kematian setiap waktu.

Sebuah drama penutup akhir tahun, yang mengajarkan kepada kita: Jika tak kau temukan cinta, biarkan cinta menemukanmu.

Mulai di bioskop 30 Desember 2014.

Asma NADIA (fiction/nonfiction writer; Indonesia) is the author of 49 books, of which four [Emak Longs To Take the Hajj] (2009), [House with No Windows] (2011), Ummi (2012), and Assalamu Alaikum Bejing (2014), have been adapted for the screen. Nadia contributes regularly to the daily Republika, which named her one of the seven most influential people in Indonesia for 2010.
